Perfumed Waters

Today was pretty much a perfect morning.  The sunrise was amazing colours of red, gold, and orange.  Jack Frost had wiped his heavy hands over everything this morning.  I danced round the bedroom to Elton John's Step Into Christmas.  I've only got 1 day left at work before my Christmas break starts.  The Parcelforce man brought the Arcana order.  Does life get any better?

I feel totally motivated to get everything packed up and sent out either tomorrow (Wednesday) or Thursday.  And what parcels they are!  Julia has excelled herself with a couple of Christmas gifts for everyone.

As some of you may know, the order didn't turn up until TWO WEEKS after Julia posted it (so much for priority mail *frowns at Royal Mail*) and then there was a little SNAFU in the Miggins Household which meant that the order took a back seat.  However, I'm happy to say that as of today, all parcels will have gone out (sorry PurpleKylie and Colere, yours are going out today - I plain couldn't carry them all in one go!).  Please let me know that your parcel arrived safely by giving me your first impressions of the sneaky preview that's included with your order. *grins*  

PS No postage charges, peeps, so don't even offer - I was weighing out the parcels at work to put stamps on and thought, feck it, the franking machine is just oozing some Arcana love here, so postage is on my employers, hehehehe!

Can you believe it's been over 6 months since we last had an Arcana order?  All the more reason to open another one in that case!

Most importantly, Arcana's prices have increased a small amount.  Soaps are now $8, 5mls are now $13, and 10mls are now $17.  Layering notes are still the same at $11 although some have been discontinued, such as Sandalwood (I'll get the definitive list from Julia).

Another important note is that we will be charged VAT on the incoming parcel.  It's a bugger, but Royal Mail have tightened up a great deal and don't let much get through these days.  It tends to work out at around £5 per person but obviously, I don't know until Royal Mail deign to write to me to tell me.

I'm happy to send out Arcana stuff anywhere, but please note that if you are outside the UK/EU, or you like bundles of extras with your order, you might be advised to order from somewhere like Magical Omaha or Gorey Details.

There was an initial delay of around two weeks which was entirely my fault because I sent the payment to the old Arcana payment address, but Julia let me know about 10 days ago that the parcel is en route from Portland.  However, I have every faith that Parcelforce are now holding it to a VAT/customs ransom so I am awaiting the Letter of Doom demanding payment.  I've e-mailed Julia to ask exactly when it was sent so I can try and work out where it is.  That's all the news I can give you - sorry.

Woo-hoo! For those of you interested, the November Arcana Soaps order is winging its merry way to us as I type. 

Woo-hoo 2! The Arcana Soaps Christmas limited editions are released! I've listed the perfume and soaps at arcanasoapsuk. Just as a heads up, there are scrubs available, but these come up awfully heavy so I'd prefer not to include them this time around. Anything else is fair game though - regular soaps and perfumes and the limited editions soaps and perfumes. 

The Arcana Christmas Order is now open and I'm aiming to leave this order open until 31 December. I've come to the conclusion this is the easiest way. Even if I made this a short order closing next week, it's unlikely I'd get the order in time to send it out before Christmas so I might as well leave the order open all month. If anyone has any other solutions, please do shout! 

The small print: prices are the same as usual (5ml - $10, 10ml - $14, soap - $6 with no changes for limited editions). No PayPal fees, no postage from the US to the UK and possibly a small charge for onwards UK postage (if I get round to it).
