Arcana '07 Holiday Update Group Order CLOSED

I don't charge PayPal fees so, as the lovely Colere says, any flavour of PayPal is welcome.  If you usually pay fees, send payment to hangoverqueen@btinternet.com.  If you don't pay fees, send it to hangoverqueen@hotmail.com.  I don't usually charge for onwards postage either.

5ml perfumes are $13, 5ml layering notes are $11, 10ml perfumes are $17, soaps are $8, scrubs are $13 (they're pretty huge tubs - I use them daily and I'd say a tub lasts around 6 months).  Please note that Julia is happy to supply us with Sleepy Hollow or DDLM perfume. 

We've managed to sidestep customs the last couple of times (big thanks to Julia) so I hope our run of luck will continue.

I can't guarantee any extras, but Julia usually slings in a handful of samples which I dish out accordingly, and they are proper Arcana samples in all their labelled glory.

I think that's about it.  I'll shut the order on Tuesday 27 November at midnight GMT.  I'm hoping that this will give me enough time to get the goodies before Christmas, but I can't guarantee anything.  Please bear this in mind when placing your order!

I went to try my Guy Fawkes perfume today, only to find the bottle's virtually empty! *sniffle* I stupidly didn't check it when it arrived - only opened it to sniff - but it definitely hadn't leaked in transit or anything, so I'm assuming it must have been like that when Julia sent it to you with the rest of the order..? Is there any way to contact Julia? If it were at least half full I'd probably let it go, but there's literally just a dribble at the bottom :(

Yeah, I figured I'd probably left it too late to start complaining. Thanks for contacting Julia for me, anyway :)

I feel like such an idiot for not checking it when it first arrived, it's just that I've never had a bottle arrive from anywhere that hasn't been 100% full! If I didn't know better I'd say someone had decanted out the contents of the bottle, 'coz there's definitely no sign of leakage, the label looks fine, there's just hardly any oil in the bottle. There's nobody else in the house that would dare touch my perfume oils even if I had left them out (I've been known to have a screaming fit when people have in the past *blush*), and I put it straight in a cupboard when it arrived and haven't touched it since. I s'pose I'm just going to have to be more vigilant in future and check all bottles as they arrive...

Julia seriously rocks!!!! Seriously! I got a parcel a few days ago, and I thought it was a bit big for a 5ml bottle... Opened it up to find a 10ml bottle of Guy Fawkes, a Guy Fawkes scrub (I think I officialy qualify as a hoarder now. I have 2 unopened tubs, plus a 1/2 used tub. And that's just the Guy Fawkes ones! And I've got a couple more scrubs on the way!!), and some scent samples. Thanks again to you and to Julia for hooking me up with my GF fix ;)

Btw, do you happen to know if the Marshmallow scrub is a limited edition? As I said before, I'm starting to get a bit of an Arcana scrubs collection, so I don't dare buy more than one tub of Marshmallow-ey goodness no matter how much I'd like to hoard it. I'm just hoping it'll become a GC so I can order more as and when.

I got yet another comment about Sleepy Hollow today - although the person looked a bit taken aback because I think they expected me to tell them it was something straight off the perfume counter at Boots. I had to explain - "you know, after The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" which led into a discussion about how a picture of Johnny Depp ought to feature on the label.

Dude, I tried my year-and-a-bit old LHotE last weekend and whoah. Just whoah. The orange is much more to the front, but it's almost creamy and the resins are all softened up. Awesome stuff. I actually debating getting a bottle to age while I use up my current bottle.

Dearest Earnest, I was just packing up the order and I realised we have a Vampire's Garden instead of a Murder Ballad Blues! I'll e-mail Julia about it over the weekend (she's kind of tied up with life at the moment so she won't be able to do anything about it until she's back at Arcana Soaps HQ). Scratch that last comment. I lay in the bath and came up with a solution. I have a bar of Lavender Romp which I'll happily trade for the Vampire's Garden, or if you fancy trying VG, I'm up for sending you half the bar of LR and half the bar of VG. I can also throw in a chunk of MBB so effectively, you could get up to three soaps to try. Choice is yours. I know LR was your first choice and this way, we get round this with minimum hassle to anyone (and you get all your order in one go).

I don't mind in the least, in fact it's very helpful as Arcana labels are just the sort of thing I look at and think "aw, that's too pretty to throw away" and then end up burning in a pyre 6 months down the line when I finally crack against the frustration of being unable to breathe in my tiny flat for all the random bits of ephemera I've hoarded :)
