My swap package arrived today, yay! :D

It had been greatly delayed by the incompetence of the Royal Fail. My awesome swap partner sent it off over a month ago, but someone in our beloved postal service decided that my house didn't exist (she had the right address, no typos, we checked), and so they sent it back to her with a 'no such address' label. In short, [livejournal.com profile] duranorak is awesome, and our postal service sucks.

Anyway, onto the SQUEEE! )

Today my car wouldn't start, and so I am working from home.  So who should rescue me from contemplating the complicated spreadsheet of doom than my friendly local postie with a parcel of switchwitchy goodness!  I feel an early lunchbreak coming on so I can take piccies and post squee!

My loot includes
  • Otherworldly Samhain Incense
  • A wee gold baggie of rosebuds for tea or bath or just general pot pourriness.
  • A covetable BPAL imp bag with lots of impy goodness in it.  (Highpoints include Lunar Eclipse, Snow White 07, Possets "The Girls Love Fall Wine"  which smells nommy, and some wicked thick resiny Persian Amber.)
  • Some Neals Yard unperfumed bath oil, to chuck an imp of favourite BPAL in for a truly decadent bath.
  • Lush Potion solid perfume
  • A wee pot of Neals Yard Rose Facial Oil
  • A Neals yard fabric bag which will be the perfect size for my shower gel etc when I keep my NY resolution to go to the Gym LOL.
  • A little stack of different yummy chocolate squares from around the world
  • A handful of mini toblerones ( now eated!)
  • A little rose quartz arrowhead wrapped in wire - pretty!
  • And the best thing, a gorgeous textile art hair pin from Wychbury in shades of blue and purple, again in a handy imp sized baggie.
  • And a pretty autumn leaves card
Here be pictures

Thank you [livejournal.com profile] lagalesa  for brightening my day!

Finally made it to the delivery office yesterday to pick up a parcel - which turned out to be, as I had hoped, my swap package full of awesome, awesome things. :D

No photos, alas, as I have no camera, but I was lucky enough to receive (if I have left anything out it is because I am *exhausted*, I will edit later if there is anything!)~

* a Decadence soap from Villainess, which I have been wanting to try for ages
* several things from The Garden Bath - I am totally delighted, I have been eyeing her stuff with foodie envy for months and months and not got around to ordering anything, and now I get to test things! and smell like chai! :D
* from Lush, a Chocolate Santa bath bomb (which I've wanted to try) and Christmas Kisses bubble bar (which is my favourite thing Lush have ever made!)
* a bundle of perfume samples from various e-tailers in the most awesome spread of foodie scents
* a couple of lip balms from My Lip Stuff, also scented such as to help me further my quest to smell like a bakery EVERY DAY
* an utterly gorgeous Yule card
* and a pendant from etsy in a style I absolutely adore (one of those picture-with-cut-out-words ones) and which I will probably wear everywhere for the next thousand years :/ I love it.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, [livejournal.com profile] rachel2205! I am completely and utterly delighted and in food-scented heaven. :D

I have received my Yule Swap parcel today from the very generous Ultharkitty. Thank you so much! Am now going to attempt to insert LJ cut, apologies if it fails miserably!

So, my magical tea box surprise has been held hostage this past week. Locked away in the clutches of Highland post men, the box only landed in my lap this past Friday night. But despite R. being knackered from his journey down in what he called the 'horizontal rain,' tea package opening was the first thing on the agenda.

My amazing tea-swap package, by the wonderful [livejournal.com profile] camillat, that's what! :D

I got carded for a mysterious parcel a wee while ago which I was hoping to go and claim last week, but first I was horribly busy and then I got horribly sick, so I finally managed to liberate it from the clutches of the sorting office today. It was a big box with exciting Danish stamps on, and my goodness what a haul of treasure lay within! No pictures, alas, as I can't find my camera charger and don't want  to delay thanking [livejournal.com profile] camillat any further, but here's the lowdown on what she sent:

Inside the box I found a pretty card explaining the 6 (yes 6!) individually-wrapped-in-cream-and-gold-paper pressies I would be working my way through...
  • A selection box of Pickwick Winter Teabags, featuring outhwatering Almond and Orange, Apricot and Honey, Apple and Cinnamon and Sweet Spice flavours.
  • Swedish Kvallsro tea, for aiding sleep, which has passionflower, lavender, mint and other yummy things in it.
  • Ribe tea, a local blend from her home town (I was SO excited about this one I've already tried some and it is pure gorgeousness in a cup. I think I may have to move to Ribe!)
  • Kransekage traditional Danish almondy cake (Also already eagerly sampled and much enjoyed!)
  • A mixed bag of sweeties, including the amusingly titled 'Spunk' Saltakrids. :D Apparantly Spunk is very popular in Denmark (!) and if the awesome name, packaging and the promise of salty liqorice are anything to go by, it's going to be very popular with me too!
  • Various tasty looking samples from her stash.
  • And one surprise bonus Item not listed in the card: a pair of perfume samples
The whole thing is just brilliant. I love to try out foreign flavours so it was amazing to get a EuroWitch (thank you [livejournal.com profile] emma2403 !) and the things  [livejournal.com profile] camillat chose are absolutely perfect for me. In fact I'd go so far as to say they fit me to a tea (boom boom)!
[identity profile] woebetide.livejournal.com
Please excuse the tardiness of this post, but I have just moved and we still don't have our internet hooked up yet!

Last week I got the absolute BEST tea swap package! It was filled with about a dozen different types of teas (I'll never have to buy tea again! ... erm, well maybe for a month or 2!), a gorgeous mug, some delicious tea cake, several imps (including a few new ones to me!) a cute little tea spoon (squee!!) and the BEST book EVER called ‘A Nice Cup of Tea and a Sit Down’

I am SO thrilled with all the goodies I was sent! THANK YOU SO SO MUCH!!! =)
[identity profile] emoonstone.livejournal.com

I am a bad, bad recipient, as I have taken so long to post this. I do apologise, I picked up the package last weekend, but due to various fun (!) health things, have only just got around to saying thank you. It was a big box brimming with aumumn goodness. It was all wrapped in beautiful autumnal colour tissue and shredded tissue paper, and it really made my day. The selection of teas was huge, although I am particularly pleased with the green honeybush! There was:
*Green honeybush
* Orange Oolong
* Christmas tea
* Dandelion tea
*Rhubarb and vanilla
* Hibiscus tisane
* A lavender flowering tea ball
*Self fill tea bags
*Samples
*Woobie Vanilla Tea fragrance

I was amazed and have been dipping into things when I can. Thank you so much to [livejournal.com profile] earnest_fervour

Squeeeeeee!

I went home for lunch yesterday and there was my tea swap AND my first ever fresh from the lab BPAL order. I was in Parcel heaven.

I opened the giant bubble envelope of loveliness, and inside were three Whittards Teas, Chai, Vanilla and Spiced, two teas by Whole Earth a Red, and a citrus scented white, and Lord Nelson Vanilla and Caramel Rooibos.  That's SEVEN different Teas to try.

And White Tea is my new addiction.  Before this swap I didn't even know such a thing existed, but when i was shopping I did "One for you, One for me" on lots of different things I wouldn't normally try.  Now I have it after work insted of a glass of wine, and I'm looking ofrward to adding Rooibos to my repertoire.

And last but not least, two bars of my favourite Green and Blacks flavours Ever!  Ginger and Cherry!

Will post pics if I can figure out how to download them from my phone -I've lost my Camera, :(

The one downside to this frenzy of unwrapping is this.  I have a stinking cold, and yesterday I had COMPLETELY  lost my sense of smell, and much of my sense of taste with it!  Couldn't even smell BPAL at point blank range!!!!  Can you imagine the suffering, Ladies?  And the fear - what if it doesn't come back?!?!?!!!

Colour me frustrated!  All this Tea, and completely pointless to sample it.  It's coming back slowly today, but I can still only detect strong flavours and scents, so I'm planning to save my new Teas for when I can truly appreciate them.

After trundling down to the local Post Office depot-thingie this morning, I managed to retrieve my awesome tea swap from the very kind [livejournal.com profile] emoonstone! Thank you so much! :D

Sorry about the lack of pictures, but here's the nitty gritty on the swag:
Boxes of Tea Pigs 'Winter Warmer' tea which tastes like liquid Christmas (yay!), Jasmine tea (oooh, interesting and so fragrant) and Aztec choco tea, not to mention more Teapigs samples of Creme Bruelee and Flake tea! I adored Teapigs already - so what a perfect selection!
Also included in my box o' joy were some lovely biscuits (undamaged - no need to worry [livejournal.com profile] emoonstone, your packing skills are ace), and a beautiful hand-stitched card.

Thanks once again for a lovely surprise, and thanks to Emma for yet another fab swap!

Oh wow!!

I have just received the most beautiful and thoughtful parcel from [livejournal.com profile] bagfish. It's stunning! It's amazing! I'm still overwhelmed by her generosity! :D

So I wanted to take a nice photo and found out that I completely suck at doing elegant displays. Somehow it always looks messy. So I thought that a kitty might help. He was sleeping deeply, so I used him to help prop up the teas:

(click for a bigger pic!)

The wonderfulness includes:
- vanilla black tea which smells amazingly good
- blackcurrant flavoured black tea which smells awesome!
(I am so conflicted... which to try first, the vanilla or the blackcurrant??!)
- passionfruit and orange (herbal?) tea which smells zesty! I bet it's great as a wake-up tea!
- night-time herbal tea, to unwind before bed. It has spearmint in it and I never realised that spearmint smelled so gorgeous! I'm very very curious!
- mango green tea which I'm sure will reconcile me to green teas. It smells gorgeous!
- a sampling of various teabags from her collection, all of which sound lovely!
- a bag of chocolate fudge. I don't know how [livejournal.com profile] bagfish guessed, but I was having the most terrible fudge cravings the last few days. I can guarantee these won't last long!
- a tea-infusor-thingy - FANTASTIC! I have been fighting with my tea egg for years and don't do loose-leaf tea as much as I'd like because it's such a bore. This will change everything, thank you! :D

I'm ecstatic, and incredibly impatient to be able to sample everything! It looks and smells stunning! Thanks again, [livejournal.com profile] bagfish, for a wonderful package! :D

Disclaimer: No kitties were hurt during the photoshoot. Scott stirred once, vaguely glanced at the packs on his belly, and promptly flopped down again and started snoring.

A HUGE HUGE THANK YOU to [livejournal.com profile] poisondove for a FABULOUS tea swap, which just arrived! I was shocked to see the postman holding an enormous cardboard box. Surely it can't be my tea swap, I thought. But lo, it was!

Inside there was the most beautiful wicker basket filled with loads of different teas, as well as some sweeties, hot chocolate, a candle, a sample of Heaven and Earth Essentials body cream, and a Mythos Mixtures sample in Fire Imp! Plus an adorable Halloween kitty card.

The box contains Whittards cherry white tea, Whittards vanilla black,, Whittards spiced chai, Twinings pomme caramel, Twinings orange, mango and cinammon, and Twinings pink grapefruit and lime! This is great because I said in my application I'd prefer a few different kinds rather than bigger boxes of just a couple of flavours! And [livejournal.com profile] poisondove chose really well and packaged them up so nicely. Thanks again to you and to Emma for organising the swap!

The postman arrived whilst I was still home this morning (which has to be a first, he normally doesn't turn up until midday). And there was a lovely little box covered in Pumpkin stickers and it's my TEA SWAP from the lovely [livejournal.com profile] etienne. Really nicely packed with lovely things distributed throughout the layers of bubble wrap. So here's a pic of the goodies

All in all, there is a delicious lot of yumminess here. A large packet of loose earl grey and mallow flower tea (can't wait to start having this at breakfast), som e apple and cinnamon teabags, some gorgeous redbush chai (which I am drinking as I type), a halloween baggie full of different types of teabags and then lots of yummy extras including halloween stickers and chocolates and the most exquisite chocolate fudge from Thorntons which I am devouring as my pudding this evening. And topping it off are two imps from my wishlist in a little lace bag.

Thankyou [livejournal.com profile] etienne, it's a most thoughtful and well put together tea swap package, I am most pleased :)

Yesterday morning I woke up at 7:30am to the postman ringing my doorbell. He had a huge box for me. I went back to bed to open it and turned out it was my tea swap package from the lovely [livejournal.com profile] la_dame_du_lac! :)

Squee! )

The postie came a-knocking this morning and brought me a large box of TeaSwitch goodness, courtesy of the very lovely flostygritter! Thank you so much. It was a lovely surprise and cheered me up no end (I have to work all weekend for the third weekend in a row, so prone to being a bit tetchy at the moment!). :D

Now, I've not posted many entries on LJ, so I really hope this doesn't go horribly wrong, but I'm going to try and post pics now...

First, I opened the box to find an eery orange glow...  )

I now have fingers crossed that this all works and doesn't wreck the website. Thanks again lovely SwitchWitch and thank you to Emma for doing a magnificent job of organising things.

Look what I have got!   My tea swap package from the lovely Rachel2205 has arrived and OMG!

I have Teapigs Chilli Tea, Morrisons Ginger and Lime Infusion and Twinings Cherry and Cinnamon tea all of which sound perfect winter warmers and Polish Rose Briar tea plus a sample of chocolate chai tea, an imp of Posset's Forever Home perfume, some BPAL The Carpathian Mountains lotion, two Halloween stamps and a lollipop.  Oh, and a lovely card with cupcakes on it.

A big,big thankyou to my wonderful switch witch. :)

(This is the first time I have posted an entry so apologies if the photo is huge or the entry is all over the place!)

Hi hi ladies!

I just wanted to say a big thank you to [livejournal.com profile] esther_reeves for the FANTASTIC package you sent me. I was SO thrilled when I got it! My apologies for sending this note and have a bit late, but I have actually been in the hospital for the last several weeks and had not access to my computer. Or the mail, for that matter. My boyfriend brought the package to me when I was ill so it was so a wonderful treat for me that totally made my month!!!!! =D

I got a bunch of yummy teas, several imps from bpal and nocturne alchemy, a jar of villianess scintillating mud (which I am now SO addicted to!), a gorgeous handmade scarf, a mug, smellies, a notepad and few other bits. It was all perfect - thank you so much for everything!

And also big apologies to [livejournal.com profile] wikkidraven for sending out your package a few days late. I ment to get it out ages ago but wasn't able to due the hospital stuff. I got my boyfriend to send it and it was unfortunately not as personalized as I would have liked. But I do hope you like it anyways. :)
