Leaf Tea?

Would anyone be interested in a LEAF group order? There's free shipping on orders over £50, and as it's UK there's no risk of customs charges.

I know, you can't put it in the bath, or on your body, but it is scrummy anyway!

How did you find out about it? I was mooching through some random blog a while ago, and placed a group order with people on my F-list then, but I thought I'd open it up to the lovely denizens of PW.

Last time I ordered an infusions tin, some Linden Infusion and a pack of the 1 cup stick infusers. The infusions are lovely; they really do have flavour, unlike all the flavoured teas you can buy in the supermarket, and the pictures are very accurate; the camomile infusion really is camomile flower heads!

I think if there is interest then I'll open it up after the BPAL update has gone, and then keep it open for a few weeks.

I've only recently gotten into leaf tea, so I was searching for a tea ball/infuser suitable for making a mug rather than a pot. One of my searches turned up the leaf site. I didn't order from them in the end, but some of their teas and infusions took my fancy.

Actually, seeing as you've ordered the sample tins before, could you answer a question for me, please? How big are the tins? I was hoping they'd be big enough to store bpal imps in once I've finished the tea ;)

Aah - cool! I have some of the one cup infusers, and they are fine for all but the leafiest infusions; the linden one is literally big leaves, so I find I need to crush them a bit to get them into the filter. I've now got a filter mug (http://www.whittard.co.uk/ProductDetails.aspx?pid=121939&cid=t6032&language=en-GB) - mine is circus stripes, and that is good, because the filter basket is basically the size of the mug, so the infusions fit really well into them.

With regard to using the tins to store imps, it is certainly doable. The tins each fit 3 imps, with plenty of wiggle room. Bearing in mind that they are metal, it might be worth lining them with something like felt to protect the imps.

*grinnins* And leaf are good :) Delphine, the lass who runs it is so nice. Last time we placed the order on Saturday, about 9pm, and the teas were on my desk at work by 1pm on Tuesday!

We get Country Life at work and I remember them saying how good Leaf were (I don't usually read it but it screamed "the best tea EVER!" all over the front page). I remember quietly oohing and ahhing over the tea pearls.

I've fished around the website and I think I'd probably end up getting a few bags of tea as well as a sampler. Look forward to it going live, especially with that kind of service!

ooh wow, i have been looking (sort of, with minimum effort) for a place that does yummy leaf tea for years! little broke, so probably wouldn't order too much at this point, but definitely in.

I may be organising/ordering our little group BPAL order this month, so would open the Leaf one after that has come down.

The sampler tins are very reasonable if you want to try a lot of stuff - 9 cups for £6 for the infusions, and lovely tins too :)
